Community Service is the opportunity Rotary clubs have to implement club projects and activities that improve life in our community.
Remembrance Day 2011
Martin Silverstein, Matt Robinson and Alan Asaph, representing all three Abbotsford Rotary clubs place a wreath at this year’s memorial service.
Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the official end of World War I on that date in 1918; hostilities formally ended “at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.

Wine Festival 2010
The Abbotsford Matsqui Rotary Club wishes to express our thanks to the many individuals and businesses that helped make “The Toast of Abbotsford” such a great success again this year. Due to their generosity, we were able to raise $10,000 for both Canuck Place and Cyrus Centre Canuck Place Children’s Hospice; Secondary) Cyrus Centre.. A portion of our net proceeds will be donated to Canuck Place in support of your ‘Extending Our Reach” campaign to build a second children’s hospice here in Abbotsford.
We could not have achieved this without the help of our sponsors, The Abbotsford Times, Abbotsford Printing Inc., Sevenoaks Shopping Centre, Pattison Group and WestJet who provided significant support.
